Do you know the TV series "Death in Paradise"?
It is about a posh English detective that is sent to a Caribbean Island to lead a team of policemen and solve the murders there. The problem is that Richard Poole is not quite happy leaving his beloved England... so be prepared for some humorous situations with suits and tea involved!
In this case we will face the death of an international model, the problem is that Richard and his team aren't sure if it is a murder or a suicide. We will meet Richard's parents, and you can expect them to be quite special, of course!

"'Careful of that sand, sir!' Camille said with mock seriousness as he awkwardly picked his way across it. 'It might get into your socks.'
Richard knew that Camille found it incomprehensible that he insisted on wearing a dark woollen suit, polished shoes, a white shirt and a tie in the tropics, but, for him, the matter was a simple one. A policeman wore a dark suit, and Richard didn't see why he should have to lower his standards just because he'd been posted to the Caribbean.
'What are you doing here?' Richard asked.
'Oh, and a good morning to you, too,' Camille said, now a lot less jauntily."

I have to say that I am a big follower of the Death in Paradise series, and I was really surprised to see that there was a book series with my favourite characters on them! I really missed the original comments of Richard, the irony of Camille, the always ready not to work Dwayne and the loyal Fidel!
If you are searching for a detective case, this is you book, with all the suspects hiding something and all of them with a big motive to kill Polly Carter.
With dark humour and funny situations Robert Thorogood take us in a trip through a Caribbean Island with a suspicious death.
